The following is taken from reports and press releases from area police departments. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Eric Delgado, 37, of the 500 block of Comstock Avenue, Elmhurst, was cited for allowing an animal to habitually break and threatening those on the public road at 7.10pm on September 8 after his dog allegedly attacked and bit a woman and her dog.
Kevin Says, 48, of the 3100 block of West Arthington Street, Chicago, was charged with burglary, two counts of retail theft and resisting a peace officer at 12:46 p.m. on September 11 after the Police said he took goods from 153-year-old Jewel Osco. E. Schillerstraat
Someone allegedly vandalized the women’s restroom at Plunkett Park, 186 S. West Avenue, between the morning of September 13 and the morning of September 14.
A resident reported that between August 22 and September 4, an unknown person asked if the resident would deposit money through an app in exchange for a check for more money. The resident was not fooled.
Myles Broomfield Crosby, 22, of the 900 block of Monticello Avenue, Chicago, was cited for speeding and possession of cannabis by a driver at 11:18 a.m. on September 9.
Kamern Bean, 18, of the 1600 block of South Mannheim Road, Westchester, was cited for possession of cannabis by a driver, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of tobacco by a minor and driving with inappropriate lighting at 7:57 p.m. Sep 9.
Steven Foster, 64, of the 1000 block of South York Road, Bensenville, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 10:25 p.m. on September 9.
Alexander Kuriakose, 36, of the 400 block of Patricia Lane, Elmhurst, was charged with driving under the influence, improper use of the lane, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance at 6:53 p.m. on September 10.
Grover Davis, 44, of the 3900 block of West Lexington Street, Chicago, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, aggravated driving while his driver’s license was revoked, driving too fast for the conditions, unlawful possession of cannabis by a conductor, damage to railway property and driving without insurance at 2:58 a.m. on September 11.
Angel Soriano Jr., 24, of the 3800 block of Anthony Lane, Orlando, Florida, was charged with aggravated driving under the influence, driving under the influence, reckless driving, possession of cannabis by a driver, driving with a suspended license, possession of alcohol by a driver, passing in a no-passing zone, speeding, two counts of improper lane use, two counts of driving on the wrong side of the road, disobeying a traffic control signal, disobeying a stop sign, failing to signal, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving with a suspended registration at 5:46 a.m. September 11.
Jessica Vandermeir, 35, of the 200 block of Terrace Drive, Clarendon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, failing to report and misusing the lane at 8.49pm on September 11.
Jacqueline Torres, 28, of the 10400 block of Austin Avenue, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving under the influence, obstructing justice, resisting a police officer, improper use of lanes and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 9:51 p.m. 11.
A resident reported Sept. 8 that an unknown offender had opened a Chase business account in his name. The account was closed without loss of money.
A resident reported on September 8 that someone tried to open a credit card account in his name. The bank was notified and no money was lost.
A resident reported on September 10 that someone tried to open a bank account in his name.
Bryan Romolt, 30, of the 8600 block of Dory Lane, Willow Springs, was charged with theft, failing to yield at a T-junction, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving without insurance at 3 p.m. 19 on September 9. in connection with a robbery near the corner of Park Avenue and Adell Place in which the offenders allegedly stole a victim’s wallet and drove off at high speed.
In the same incident, 23-year-old Tiffany Blanco of the same address was also charged with robbery as well as driving with a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign and driving without insurance.
An unknown person walked away from the Thorntons gas station, 476 N. York St., without paying for 20 gallons of premium gasoline at 7:06 p.m. on September 8.
Alcohol was allegedly taken at Jewel Osco, 153 E. Schiller St., by two black men seen on surveillance video taking the alcohol and leaving the store without paying between 9:42 p.m. and 10:56 p.m. on September 8.
A resident of the 700 block of North Kenilworth Avenue reported on September 9 that a contractor paid in May for foundation work on a patio had never started the work or returned the resident’s money.
An unlocked blue Trek 820 WSD bicycle was stolen near York High School’s training facility, 355 W. St. Charles Rd., between 7 and 9 p.m. on September 9.
Around the same time, another unlocked bike, a blue and black Schwinn Thrasher bike, was reportedly removed from a school bike rack.
A black man between the ages of 30 and 50 allegedly picked up several bottles of liquor from Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive, at 9:20 p.m. on September 12.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle at Autosavin’s used car park, 730 N. York St., on September 13. Surveillance video showed a small, dark sedan driving into the park.
Theft by deception
An unknown offender used an email on Sept. 9 to convince a resident to transfer money to fix a supposed problem with his Social Security account.
A victim told police he sent a deposit for rental accommodation listed on social media between September 1-3 and later learned he had been cheated and reported the matter to his bank .
Quentin Spicer, 26, of the 100 block of Bellwood Avenue, Bellwood, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with a suspended registration and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 10:48 a.m. on September 8.
Duglas Cifuentes, 30, of the 1000 block of North 24th Avenue, Melrose Park, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control device at 5:24 a.m. on September 10.
Lindsey Owens, 73, of the 600 block of North Wolf Road, Hillside, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash on September 14 in connection with an accident that occurred on August 16.
Olmer Santos-Andino, 38, of the 4100 block of West 69th Place, Chicago, was cited for disobeying a traffic sign, driving without insurance and driving with an expired registration at 3:05 p.m. on September 13.
Jacob Johannesen, 29, of the 700 block of Willow Street, Elmhurst, was charged with driving with a revoked driving licence, screeching or screeching tires, incorrectly displaying registration, driving with expired plates and driving without insurance at 9:21 p.m. on September 1. 13.
Giselle Gomez, 23, of the 900 block of David Drive, Bensenville, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, driving with a suspended license, expired license and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 7:01 p.m. September 14.
Tivonte Allen, 26, of the 4N100 block of Niles Avenue, Addison, was cited for improper window tinting and unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver at 12:20 a.m. on September 15.
Officers responding to a July 25 call for three people crossing Canadian National train tracks located the subjects near the 100 block of Route 83 South. An anonymous offender and Richard Haiman, 53, whose last known address was 2300 N. Kingfisher Lane, Rolling Meadows, were transported to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood with what police called “serious injuries”.
Haiman was charged Sept. 15 with possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespassing on state-supported land.
Alexis Minor, 23, of Block 200 of East 20th Court, Lockport, also involved but unhurt, was charged on August 17 with criminal trespassing on railway property.
Charges are pending against the third unnamed suspect.
