The must-see YouTube Taxi Driver was back this month with what he claims to be a GAME CHANGER Taxi Driver.
The device reviewed in Tom the Taxi Driver’s latest video is a pretty black box that looks like nothing more than a sturdy lunchbox from first impressions. However, dig deeper and look sideways to find that the handy sized box is actually a plug-in mobile stove!
The RoadPro stove, which is available for purchase for around £ 50-60, can be used to heat most types of pre-cooked food.
Tom demonstrates how healthy, home-cooked food can now be fully reheated in the cabin by simply plugging the range into a 12-amp charging outlet.
Taxi drivers working long shifts have always struggled to access hot, healthy food without having to pay high prices on the go. A simple hot meal and drink can cost taxi drivers around £ 10 a day. For a full-time driver, a meal a day can amount to over £ 2,000 a year!
A reviewer of Tom’s video also commented, “The height of the stove is such that you can place two of the metal trays inside… a savory dish, a dessert.
“A nice piece of warm apple crumble or pie with lunch.”
Tom’s YouTube channel has been a hit with viewers since its launch in March 2020. Over 25,000 people have subscribed to the YouTube channel. The London taxi driver and qualified taxi guide completed ‘Knowledge of London’ in 2017 after 3 years of study.
Tom also published a book about his time on Knowledge, and recently progressed to the position of Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers.
